Since 1999 our list of partners has become long and widely involving the 5 continents. TTG Italia organized roadshows for long haul destinations, such as Australia, South Africa, Canada, the U.S., Brazil, Perou, Chile, Cuba, mid- and short haul destinations such as Dubai, Tunesia, Greece, Romania, Portugal and Spain.
The present projects are "
destination roadshows" and "
themed roadshows" as per the calendar you can easily download from the following section of our website.
The future projects are focusing on
new destinations such as:
· Southern Africa including the Indian Ocean Islands
· Hotels & Hotel Chain to meet the travel agents, the business travel office representatives, the incentive houses and the travel professionals interested in hotel business as "buyers"
and themes such as:
§ "Youth and School Holidays" (in addition to the specialized travel agents we invite the teachers who are responsible for the choice of the destination for the school holidays). According to recent statistics, the total expenditure in Italy for Youth and School Holidays is more than 1 billion Euro a year and the number of travellers is more than 4 million, aged 9-18.
§ "Religious Tourism and Pilgrimages" (in addition to the specialized travel agents we invite the all the professionals who organize groups for this niche market). Statistics say that more than 1,3 million Italians travel every year to religious destinations for pilgrimages or cultural reasons (visit to churches, monasteries, convents etc): this market has a steady grow in numbers, between 5,5 to 10% depending on the destinations.
§ "Gay & Lesbian travel market" - for the first time we are going to organize an Informative Meeting in Milano with the aim of providing trade professionals with statistics and marketing information about this fast growing market. According to the results of a questionnaires the TTG sent in 2006 to interview the retail travel agents about their professional needs in terms of training and market update, the G&L subject was one of the most requested and voted subjects. Without no doubts considered as fast growing and with a high average expenditure per person, the G&L tourism is not yet developed in Italy due to a lack of information about gay friendly destinations and travel products in Italy and abroad.
